So Sunday comes as I get released from Primary - which is sad and good at the same time. I'll really miss all the people in there and the kids too. BUT life moves on and I've been called as Second counsellor in Relief Society! HUGE change - not sure how to think on adult level and really not sure what it all entails but I'm sure but ther end of the year I will get what I need to be doing (hopefully) and if not I can blame 'baby brain' or lack of sleep for any massive slip ups!!

It must feel strange to change to a completely different way of teaching and thinking, from children to adults, but I am sure that it will all work out, especially if that is where the Lord has called you to serve, I know he will give you the help you need.
You will be great Bec. I forgot to ask what you are over - lessons or activities?
Supposedly Lisa there is no differentiation anymore, it's just 1st and 2nd counsellor but I think it is still done that way 'unofficially' otherwise there would be coordination mayhem. That's just what I've heard so I could be wrong. Wouldn't be the first time. ha ha.
This is great news Bec. Margaret told us last night. It's tough with small kids but I often call them my 3rd counsellor. xx
I'm 'over' activities - thanks guys!!
Yes I'm afraid my kids will be attending all meetings!! glad they aren't old enough to want to listen yet!
You will be great Becc. As the RS Pres in our ward I can't tell you just how much I need and rely on my counsellors. Couldn't do it without their love and support. xx
congrats Bec- you will love rs, will prob take a little bit to adjust, like you said after serving in primary, but i'mm sure you will be a fabulous counselor.
And yes, always good to have a change
You will do well in RS and will love serving there soon if you don't already. I love primary but I do miss going to RS (serving as a teacher in RS is the crusiest calling, just one lesson a month, I don't think you will have it that easy though :).
We have started having our meetings in the evenings because all the disruption with the kids would make the meetings go forever and you don't relise how much they pick up. One time we were talking about who we could ask to serve in primary and one of the children said, "How about Sister such and such?" We had no idea they were even listening. Now our meetings are half as long and so much more effective.
:( well, we're gonna miss you... in fact what are we going to do without you?!
As ruth said, we'll just make kels do a talk every week and you'll have to come back in ;)
x
You will be great Bec!! Good to hear your kids don't "flap" yet. I think Livy has already developed the art of it!!
It's nice to have a change and I'm sure you'll be loved in RS just like you were in Primary...or so I've been told! :)
